My overflow box is making a glug glug glug sound. when i first set it up it made a swirling water sound which i figured was normal. i came home put a filter sock on the inlet into my sump and it started making that glug glug glug sound. any ideas?
thats what they do... its sucking air... this is most commonly called "toilet gurgle"...
dorsostand pipe is the best way to fix it.. (google it)
depending on what size you have you may have to get a lil creative with how you make it... my pf800 ("800gph" not even close) has a 1" bulkhead with a 1" standpipe with two 3/4" inlets.. it took about 3 tries and 40 minutes with the dremel to make it fit.. then everything got siliconed together.. now the only noise is in the sump not the overflow..
