Anyone use Kordon turtle ramp

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i literally have made the same thing out of wood. I would think you would have to get the large so for $35 you could make something custom that would be exactly what you want although i dont advise wood for long term use.

Yes I rather not use wood other than the water logged stacked driftwood I have already as basking area .

I know many here have turtles imagine someone must use it.

Thanks

I use cork, works pretty good

You just let it float and can it hold the weight of a a 2 -50 cent piece size turtles?

If so will get a large piece . I thought it would become water logged fairly fast and sink .

Thanks

i use it...7" giant musks on a real small turtle ramp like that...had it for about a year...suction cups wear out easily especially underneath basking light...

Thanks and it will be outside so Florida sun. Imagine those suction cups wouldn't last at all. Never took that into consideration.

Going to fish farm this week to look at cork bark as that might be best option.

Thanks

Louie- I have a similar version that is designed to sit in a corner. Mine sinks when my larger turtles sit on it. I think it's too light to be long, if that makes sense. The length kind of causes the suction cups to slide.

I remember your basking area from your pics . I was going to ask you how you liked it . It seems everyone has problems with the suction cups.

I will just pick up large Cork bark this week like coura suggested as my turtles still fairly small.
The basking wood pile works but heavy rains top pieces float away and i'ts impossible to get a flat uniformed basking area . If I do after heavy rains it floats apart lol.
So just rather go with something with nice size flat surface that don't need to stack..

The cork sounds good if not will just make something . To bad every one finds the suction cups such a pain and here with the sun imagine wouldn't last at all..

Thanks
