I would like to see if anyone has any fish pics using this camera. I'm thinking of buying one, and want to see what it can do first. How's the macro on it?
Well I don't own that particular one but I do own a coolpix 3200 and I can tell you I love it! Coolpix are very nice cameras and take awsome pics for the price. I have some recent just quick pics with it and I am not gunna brag but they are not bad at all. Especially just for a couple trys and some point and shoots.
I have whatever nikon has the wifi built in and I cant stand it.
It's ok for taking general pics, but I cant get good macro or aquatic pictures. It's too dificult to take manual control over it (you can, but there arent many options).
I have a Nikon Coolpix L3 with 5.1 megapixel I'm pretty happy with it. Not as good as some of the fancy cameras out there, but for what I do, it suits me just fine.
I use the sports setting for moving fish. Without that it's hard to get a decent picture of fish unless you catch them in a stationary position. Also like that it uses AA batteries and not those special batteries that may be hard to find in some places. Museum setting does not work very well unless there's bright lights involved.
