Just ordered a big tub of the NLS Extra Large Fish Formula for the Jardini. This should give me a great mix and varieties of pellets for him to eat. So far I have him on:

Hikari Foodsticks - So so on these
Sera Arowana Pellets - He really seems to like these
Azoo Arowana Sticks - Not so interested in these
Hikari Jumbo Carnisticks - Again not so interested in these

Ordered the 5lb bucket for $38 shipped of the NLS was going to get the smaller one but it was $25 with shipping so I said heck ma as well go big.

He also loves some frozen bloodworms, crickets, frozen krill from time to time.

I tried to convert my aro's onto NLS.. My advice is to be patient.. It's a lot more dense than Hikari pellets so your aro may spit them out for a while.

Yep I had read they were much more dense then Hikari and other pellets. Figure I will take a vacuum seal the bucket into smaller portions to keep it fresh and only open a small amount at a time.

I've tried with no luck either, the only way I can get mine to eat pellets is to stuff them inside superworms.

I've gone a whole week and it won't touch the hikari carnivore super sticks or whatever it is.

i didn't feed my aros for 7 days trying to train them on NLS, i ended up just keeping them on the hikari carni sticks. for some reason they really dislike the NLS pellets, so now i have a jar sitting at home that i just feed to my koi...

as stated above the formula is really dense, it takes a while for it to soften in the water IME they would chew it up and spit it back out but once it's chewed up and it sinks they wouldn't even take a second look at it. good luck

I can't speak for others but mine is a real picky eater.. It will only accept live food..
Tried to starve it for 2 months but still won't accept pellets..

Since mine is on pellets I am really trying to keep the crickets for a weekly treat and feed pellets the rest of the time. hate to go backwards.

Bro, stuff pellets into live food!
I stuff Hikari stick into superworm, only way to get it to take pellets.
