I currently have the cloth filter socks and I hate em. Was curious how hard the polyweld socks are to clean? Can a simple hand scrub in the sink clean them?

Last thing I need is more socks I hate...... :irked:

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I use the polyester felt socks from McMaster. Toss them in the washing machine and they come out good as new.

What? You're not worried about soap contamination? Or did you just buy a washer for your filter socks? Somehow I find it difficult to believe I wouldn't loose a lil sleep worrying about a soapy sock wiping out several thousands in rays.

I swear IF I have to blast myself in the face with power washer propelled fish shibby again I'm gonna loose it. I've had alls I can stands, and I can't standsK no more.....

Thanks for the reply J! :)

Been cleaning them in the washer for well over a year now, never had any problems. Lots of others folks here do the same thing. Put it on the heavy cycle, with a double rinse :)

This x 2.

Sometimes I sneak a little bleach in there too.

If you're worried about contamination, do a cleaning cycle on your washer before you put them in there.

Anyone got links to exactly what you're using?
Getting the feeling most are using Mcmaster?

No one runs polyweld socks?????????

:(

Polyweld socks? Anyone's filter wearing them????? Don't like paying to be the guiny pig.....

Why not use the ones Jose suggested. I too use them and toss them in the wash. No soap, no bleach. Run em once, turn em inside out, turn em back and run one more time....run a couple extra spins to dry em...and wala...new filter socks. Mcmasters has killer prices when you buy 10 or more as well. Ive got the 100 micron ones and im gonna get the 100/50micron double bags next.
