Anyone used a Odyssea Protine Skimmer ?

Piece of advice if a skimmer is a good deal...its usually not worth a damn. Euroreef/reef dynamics are the best bang for your buck by far and pull a better skim than any other brand ive used. Reef octopuss is pretty decent and cheap they might b your best bet. Also almost anything hang on is also junk so take ur time and look for something used from a better brand. Its better than buying a "new" piece of junk skimmer. Sucks to pay for these things i know, but once you witness the performance of a real skimmer/foam reactor its easy to see what your paying for.

I have an eshopps h.o.b. that works decent but the trouble it causes to keep it working during the week makes me want to smash it against a brick wall. You really get what you pay for with a skimmer...$200/$250-$400 is sadly entry level for skimmers.
