Just called them as asked them if the reseal glass aquariums. They said they would reseal my 180 Glass Tank and polish the glass for $120. They garantee it not to leak once they reseal the entire tank.

Anyone used them before? Do they have a good reputation? Said they have been in business for 18yrs, specializing in acrylics, but they do glass as well.

never heard of them but you could do it yourself in a few hours for about $15 if your willing to put in the elbow grease :)

I'm not opposed to DIY... not afraid of working hard. I just dont trust myself at sealing it properly. Not to mention in order to chemically clean the glass I'd have to go buy more stuff. I managed to get 90% of the calcium off, but still has a slight residue film on it. So I'm ok to let the pros do it. I just want it done right. I've heard too many horror stories about coming home to a house full of water.

And as it stand this tank is going in my computer room. So the two tanks in my computer room will equal 400 gallons worth of water!

Nice M4 BTW :) I always wanted a AR15. I do have one sporter model bam stick.. but we're not supposed to have them in CA.

Perhaps you could ask them for some referrals?

i second that. any top notch business will have customers more than willing to give their testimonial and experience with the company.

maybe try asking around at your LFS if they have heard anything about the place

not a bad idea, I'll call them tomorrow for a list of referrals.

I called about 4 LFS.. they all said they don't have any idea who could reseal a tank. In fact one store said "No, you don't reseal tanks" So what's he think I'm supposed to toss out my 180 and buy the same thing at $900 from him? :screwy:.

I also called 2 glass shops and they said yeah they have cut glass for aquariums, but have no idea who could put them together. :nilly:
