hi, just wondering if anyone uses this filter. what are your thoughts on it? they are rated for 150 and 200 gallon tanks. do you think they can handle that big of a tank? are they silent? what size tank do you have yours on? and other info?

thanks,
mark

I currently run 2 of them along with a Pennplax 1500 for my 100 gal due to the bio load. Not a bad filter. Little on the cheaply made side.

im just looking for something not to expensive for my sisters 55 gallon tank but strong enough for her 75 gallon tank when she switches to it. cheaply made how? does it fall apart? break?

ive got 1 of the 3tray ones and 2 of the 4/5 tray ones (i cant remember).. for the price they are wonderful.. somehow i keep getting my hands on them for dirt cheap (socal ftw)... they flowrate is nowhere near what they are listed as once you add media.. but they are super quiet and so far i have not had any issues with them...

i also have an eheim 2026.... i paid more for the single eheim than i did for all three of my jebos combined... and i got it on the super (now over) petsmart.com deal...

the eheim has much better flow even when packed with media and the ballvalves are not total crap like they are on the jebos... but other than that... im not sure if its worth the price...

IMO... jebos are great for the price... not as good as the bignames but still great for the price..

I also have one yes it is super quiet and Its price is fantastic. I bought one for a hundred bucks the equivelent size fluvel was almost 200. Rite now I have a 75gal the filter is I think rated for 150 when I upgrade tanks I will buy a second jebo for the price of one fluvel. I dont care how good fluvel is its not better then two jebos for the same price.

so it sounds like a jebo rated for 150 gallons doesnt have quite the flow rate for such a large tank but should be more then enough for a 55 or 75 gasllon tank?
