Anyone using Seachem Purigen with their Aro

Hi guys!

I'm trying to find out if anyone is using this stuff with their Aro's. From what I've read, this stuff sounds amazing.
I've also read that it is a bad idea to use carbon in an Aro tank.
Any and all feedback greatly appreciated.

I don't use purigen, no reason to, but don't see why you couldn't with arowana. If carbon is used in the proper manner it can be used with arowana also.

I've got an algae & water clarity problem I'm trying to fix.

I would find out the root of the problem(s) instead of masking them with purigen.

if you got green water try a UV sterilizer. if it is only for green water you can you a small lamp.

Purigen WILL make your water look really clean, but as we all know, clear water doesn't mean clean water.

I have used it with aros to pull tannins from driftwood out of the water. Works really well.
