I put it off till the last day of Thanksgiving break and i am not so sure for a couple.

1. 4 times the sum of a number and 1 equals 116. What is the number?

2. If the product of a number and -6 is reduced by 7, the result is 55 less then twice the opposite of the number. What is the number?

3. Use four unit multipliers to convert 125 sq inches to sq meters.

For the first two, all you have to do is represent the missing number as a variable "x" and write a two-sided equation. Then manipulate the equation to get all the terms of "x" on one side. Then get "x" by itself. Presto.

ill give you the equations... thats it.

i will use "y" for the variable. the letter "x" will be used for the multiplication sign.

#1... 4 (y+1) = 116

#2... y (-6) - 7 = 2 (y) - 55

#3... i dont know
