I got these two about 2-3 weeks ago. They're in a 75 gallon tank together black and white gravel with black background although they always show bright colors. They are both around 2-3"

Isn't a salvini just a regular cichlid?

yes salvinis are pure bred fish. i believe that they were used to create the newer flowerhorns with the full flowerlines though. there is a thread in the media lounge that has a book with all the species used for the creation of flowerhorns

zz flowerhorn? is that what "Pearl" is?
they are both zz flowerhorns. red and blue dragon is a type of zz flowerhorn. using cars as a metaphor the f150 and the mustang are both fords. zz would be the brand name and the model would be any number of names like red or blue dragon, chery red, and tons of other names that the breeders think up.
