has anyone ever put two tanks together because i wanted to build a 180 but my dad said no so i can get 75's for $110 but i think the tank would be 8 feet way to long for my bedroom.

You could easily connect them with large diameter PVC (like a bridge), but the fish would have to be small enough to swim through it.

I've never done it.But I work at a lfs and we had gotten two like 50 gallon tanks on one custom stand and it had two acrylic tubes connecting the two. It was really neat. I think it sold close to $1000 with stand, tank and canopy. I don't know how you would do it.

The seams would be a pretty weak point. It would probably fail

A member has done it on here before. I can't remember the thread title. It was neat, but not something I would risk doing. If your still at home, I doubt dad would approve
