Ok, got dovii wrigglers, they should be free swimming in a couple of days. Aside from brine shrimp, what else can you feed them ?. Leaning towards manually crushed flakes or Golden Pearls.

"Golden Pearls" - A New Brine Shrimp Replacement Diet

Golden Pearls is a revolutionary new larval diet that has successfully replaced live Artemia nauplii in marine fish hatcheries in Europe. A patented processing technique (agglomeration of micro-encapsulated particles) resulting in feed particles or "clusters" that resemble raspberries (under the microscope). Golden Pearls have tiny air pockets that keep the feed particles in the water column, not on the bottom of the tank, and mimics live brine shrimp nauplii.

Qguy - does not want to go through the trouble of hatching Brine shrimp eggs

Golden pearls?!?!?!?WTF......CHeck it out and let us know....Personally, bbs will always be the number fry food for the first month....

I just raised two broods, all you need to do is crush some flake food. Dovi fry will feed on that, no need to buy anything special.

I have 4 Dovii currently that I bought as fry they were about 1/4"...the big boy is getting close to 4". I started them out on crushed flake and crushed brine shrimp. Then started adding bloodworms a little later down the road. Now they get shrimp....krill....bloodworms.....pellets and brine shrimp. They would even nawl on chunks of krill at a very small size.

If you don't want to hatch BBS, you can always feed decapsulated brine shrimp eggs. They have the shells removed, so you don't risk fry choking on shells. I've had very good luck with decap BBS and to a lesser extent, golden pearls.
