I have set a minnow trap in my pond to see what I would catch and so far it is mostly Tadpoles. I just wondered if they were good feeders for anything? Seems to be mostly two different sizes. Caught a bunch of minnows today after I added a piece of lunch meat for bait.

I would be careful you never know about the parasites that it could have being caught from the wild and feeding to your fish.

if they are not poisonous, any meat eater like oscar, arowana,... would love them !

What kind trap do you use, what's it look like?

My AnsorgiiXEndli loves bullfrog tadpoles, although I've never fed WC fish or anything else to them. I seen a post awhile ago that someone said the secret to large polypterus is tadpoles. I would by a 10G tank and Q them for awhile and use a parasite cure on them.

It is a basic wire trap. Has small holes on the side and they are shaped like a funnel so they can get in but not out. Search ebay for Minnow trap that is where I got mine.

And the tadpoles and minnows are in a 75 gallon tank sitting on my front porch. Someone gave it to me and I wanted to make sure it didn't leak.

I dropped a line in the pond and caught a 12 inch goldfish and a n 8 inch koi. Guess my feeder goldfish I put in there 10 years ago have reproduced and grown.

I would use something like Seachems Paraguard, that treats parasites and bacteria. You don't want to introduce anything into your tank, that could harm your fish. But I think most fish would destroy small tadpoles.

What eats them? Anything with a big enough mouth would be my guess.

+1

I dont see why not to use these...and soon enough when the supply will be high I am sure that I will mix it into my feeding regimen on some of our larger preds.
