anything hogaboomorum?

Might be picking up 3 of these fish as the new inhabitants of my 125. Is there any unique info to these fish? Personal experience as far as size, aggressiveness, and color? There is very little to no info on them on the internet and I know a few members here keep them some looking for a little input. Pictures are nice aswell :).
 
hogas are awesome. i have a 7" male and hes a super awesome fish. theyre average for most amphilophus in terms of size maxing out at 14" or so but get very bulky and are very high bodied compared to other amphs. mine isnt very aggressive but has quickly moved up the ladder in my 240. great species to keep

heres some older pics of him. his colors have changed recently and is more yellow. ill try to take some new pics soon

Thanks mo I have actually seen that thread and searched on here too see many of the rest of them. You have stunning fish! How big are they all? What I find interesting is that the pair does not claim the whole tank when breeding. I would think the third wheel would be dead. I am picking 3 fish up from a fellow member on here who got them from you last year apparently. But they have not shown any breeding activity apparently so I fear they are all the same sex which is not what I want ideally.

I am also picking up one of Jon's hogs (he has four, but I agreed to get one from him prior to him putting the others up for sale, along with a deppi) this weekend. I'll see you at the meeting, man! Definitely also keeping an eye on this thread... never thought I'd try out a hog before, but here we go...

Great! Should be really nice meeting everyone cannot wait to see you there. My only worry is the sexes. I hope there is at least one male and one female.
