Summer! The time of the year where a lot of outdoor projects occur. Seems like Ted (Anythingfish) had planned on building an enclosure around his outdoor 2400G tank, but disaster struck!

Ted had recently hurt his back and is still recovering but instead of taking it easy, he decided to do some outdoor work. Ted had tried to lift a big glass sliding door with a metal frame around it when his back gave way again! Pain was too much to bear that Ted dropped the sliding door and the metal frame hit the viewing glass of his 2400G!

IT CRACKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lucky for Ted that the glass didn't explode or it would have been a tragic event.

Ted quickly drained half the water out of the 2400G to relieve the pressure on the glass and immediately rushed to Home Depot for supplies to build a temporary holding pond.

Here are some pics of Ted building the Temporary Holding tank. I forget the measurements but I think it was 12' x 12' x 4'. It took Ted 8 hrs to build the whole thing alone. He said 2 of the 8 hrs was just trying to fit the tarp properly.

COMPLETE TEMPORARY POND CONSTRUCTION SERIES PICS

Now that the temporary pond was set up. Ted emailed me and a couple friends to see if we could help out moving his fish out from the 2400G to the temporary holding pond. Ted didn't even need to ask me. I owe him for so many countless favors he has done for me and this was nothing. Hell it was even fun for me :D

So the plan of the day was show up at 9:00AM and as quickly as possible scoop up, move and release the fish. With the exception of a couple that were also to be weighed just for the hell of it.

As soon as I got there I saw the damage to the viewing glass of the 2400G!

WOW! those are some big fish:eek: , but if you dont mind can i ask dos your friend keep all those fish out side year round? and if he does how does he heat the tank? is that liner all he used for inside? or anything eles for someone lookeing to build something like it, and that sucks that the larger tank cracked:( but at least all his fish lived

thats harsh, glad things were rescued without problems. to be fair, if he built it all by himself, theres some lazy arse just taking pictures of him doing it lol

That sucks to hear, but good thing he has people around like you to help him out.

Trust -- Way to go helping out! Awsome fish Ted has! I've checked his web site a while ago! Pssssssssssst maybe you guys wanna come here to Jersey and build me a tank for my monsters!!! By the way great pics of the event!!! Ted Rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!
