Apex AquaController & PH

So I just read somebody talking about an apex aquacontroller in another thread, and started looking them up.

On this model, it says it can actually control PH. Monitoring it makes sense to me, but how does it actually control it? I assume it would have to have some kind of periphery attachment to do so, but still am curious as to how you'd buffer PH via an electronic interface. Anybody have some idea how this would work?

It doesnt physically control the pH by itself. Its just a computer that you can attach a pH probe to that will read the pH of your water.

You can monitor ph levels. That's it. I love my Apex lite. Had it running for 2 months now. So easy to use

You can connect the controller to a CO2 system, if the ph gets too high it will add more CO2 into the water which lowers ph. There are similar methods for saltwater tanks, however they use some sort of buffer rather than co2.
