I picked up API Fungus Cure (Powder) at my LPS because my yellow tail acei and BP have little white fungus around their mouths. & now I'm wondering if it would be ok in treating them with my clown knife in the same tank. I'd rather make this thread and find out for sure then to lose my favorite fish. It says nothing on the package about it being harmful to scaleless fish.

Have any of you tried this medication and your knife fish was in the same tank as those you were treating?

I really do not want to fill up my 10g with the same water as their in now and attach a filter, heater, and bubbler and treat the yellow tail acei and BP in there, but if it means saving my clown knife then I guess i'll have to.

sometimes what appears to be a fungus is not. especially in the mouth. bacteria could be the issue

Checked the ingredients of API fungus cure: Active Ingredients:
3 mg Victoria Green B and 30 mg Acriflavine per packet.
Be careful with malachite green and knife fish.
