Has anyone used Aquarium Pharmaceuticals fungus cure? If so how well did it work? Im posting here cuz i havnt really gotten much response to questions about meds.

Ive used an array of API products. For the most part they work just fine. Ive only lost fish that were gonna die anyway. I just used the tetracycline and the fungus cure stuff last week on my 55g African tank. One of my Obliquedons eye was cloudy and starting to grow a fungus that the other fish were pickin at. Plus another couple fish looked like they were growing a beard. Wierd huh? anyway I followed the directions to the T plus added some cichlid salt and turned up the heat a little and left the lights of most of the week and only fed a little about every other day. Once i began the treatment i did not lose any fish , and the Obliquedon's eye is intact and clear and he's happy again.
Why are you conserned about your fish anyway? If they have anything its best to remove the fish and quarantine them. I wasnt able to due to my hospital tank has become a nursery for my g/f's guppys (she even made me get pink rocks) . Plus due to other issues i decided to medicate the entire tank. ANyway man GOOD LUCK!

I've had good luck with every API product I've tried. All work as advertised! Jungle Fungus-Clear works ok also, but it stains everything blue.

I just started the fungus clear from tank buddies and everything is blue, i removed carbon , i didnt add aquarium salt , my elongatus piranha, has some tail rot , will this work

When a fish suffers finrot, the first thing to look into is water parameters. What are your water parameters? Wrong water conditions often cause finrot aside from bacterial infections. I'd correct that situation before using any treatments. It may not be bacterial infection causing it than the poor water quality itself and this certainly is not saprolegnia/fungus although the meds used for fungus could still work for bacterial infections due to misdiagnosis by most companies between saprolegnia and bacterial infections.
