I think my fish might have gill flukes. I brought some stuff called Api General Cure Medicine. Any body else used this before? also i looked on the back an it says it has a chemical that causes cancer wtf? also do i have to take my filters out to use this? will it cill my red tailed shark?

I have used API general cure several times for internal parasites. No problems at all and all you have to do is take out your carbon. Used as directed it did not affect my biological filtering. With respect to cancer, it is an anti-parasite. Most medications have side-effects and you have to weigh the benefits against the costs.

I dont really know what my fish have or if this behavor is normal. All my fish seem to flash alot for no apparet reason from time to time one of my Ebjd being the worst. some times it seems like he's beatin the crap outta his self against my decorations. it does this outa the blue some times but then its back to normal. My ebjd seems to "twicth" some times it look like its having spasems. I look at its gills and it seems like there moving real fast like he's gulping for air. I dont know if the haeavy breathing is real or all in my head. other than the flashin all my fish eat well and are colorful. I havent dumped in the chemicals yet beacause i dont really know if my fish have it or not and im not tryin to put them threw this if i dont have to.
So if i put it in my water then put my hand in that water i could get cancer? This is makin me not wanna even fool with this stuff
Have you noticed any of them breathing through only one gill and holding the other closed? That's usually a good sign. Flashing might mean something else, perhaps a parasite on their body. Regardless, general cure gets rid of a whole bunch of external problems. I had a JD that I got a few weeks back that had gill fluke. I dosed him two times with general and he got better.
No i have been readin up on gill flukes and was lookin for that but so far i havent seen it. I thought they mighta had ick but i havent seen any spots an have been checkin for them for about a month so thats ruled out.
