hey everyone I recently started somthing on a smaller scale of fish size. I bought 10 triple red cockatoos off aquabid I have had them for about a week and I found little pink eggs in one of the caves.. My question is should I remove the eggs since there are 10 apistos in there or do they stand a chance? I am going to sell these little guys to LFS's so that I can buy the frozen food for my predators:naughty: I should be able to get a 16oz. pack of krill for every apisto I hope!!!

well i think u should move them to a seperate tank if you could with that pair so u know its a true pair..or just seperate them from the rest of the tank so that they are in there own seperate territory and they can be alone..that should work but if not just set up a net breeder and put the eggs there and run a aerater under it so that no fungus grows and then when they hatch just turn the air down alot..''

hope this helps

I breed Apisto's and even if you move the pr with the eggs. She will see you as a praderter and eat the eggs. Most all Apisto's fry will not make it to wiggler stage on the frist or even secound fry. It took mY Panduro's and Agiss red tis two frys before they got it right. Now my cockato full reds. they'd had 4 frys and have just now started to see wigglers in there frys.
I've even hatched there fry in a hatchery. You will more then likly not see any of the eggs make it to the wiglers stage til on the 2nd or 3rd fry. But good luck with breeding them.
