Apistogrammas and electric Dempsey

Hey all I was wondering if the apistos and Dempsey would be able to coexist in the same tank together. My electric jacks are still tots and I was looking into purchasing apistos with them to live in my planted tank. Any thoughts ?

apistos will be snacks eventually. better idea may be rehoming the dempseys as they may tear your plants up when they grow.

Yea I know that. There tiny little guys just wondering if it would work. What about anostomus anostomus do you think 4 of them would be comfortable in a 46 gallon

In the end, a 46 gal is much too small for JDs, I believe your Apistogrammas would be in trouble simply for territorial reasons.
If you like the electric blue types, there are electric blue rams available that would be much more suited to a small, planted tank with apistos.

Well once the jacks get big enough I have a 125 already.
