Anyone ever kept Long finned Apollo shark, Luciosoma spilopleura? Thinking of getting one once I get my new 100US Gallon. Saw one in lfs recently, and it looked like a COOL fish. Anyone have any experience of keeping them? Do they need to be kept in a school or can i just get the one - they get to a good size and I don't want to overstock my tank!

Don't keep them in ones, i haven't had much luck with them, i've got two and when they were in a 4 footer they hated each other, and kept fighting so now they are both in a 6 footer an dthey have stopped.

My new tank will be 72"x18"x18" (Big clown loaches , syno's , congo tetras and a Distichodus Sexfaciatus).
Why not keep singly?
And what size of tank would I need for a shoal - 3,4 or 5 - if TWO fight in a 4 foot tank?!

I have 6 in my 4' 150gal and they get a long great, they are the best shoaling fish I have had tight group.... eat like monsters just make sure you have a lid and cover all gaps so you dont get any jumpers...
