Just got 2 packs of these bulbs at Wal-Mart.............anyone have any experience with these,i got like 55 Watts of Compact Flourescent on 'em in a 30 gallon,so a 18" ceiling.Any and all suggestions for 'em appreciated.

the Aponogenton will do good with a full spectrum light ..i never tried a Lilly in a tank ..............go for it

the more i think about it just how big are the Lilly bulbs and what kind
really their bulb is called a cone and get rather large for a tank

the lily grows HUGE!

Both will be fine, the lilly isn't a true lilly, and doesn't grow very large. Both are very weak plants, and will die off easily, and will be eaten readily by many inhabitants.

the Aponogenton he can keep going on
not so hard in a tank..well it will come and go but it will live on

Most plants that have a bulb will survive, but aponogetons and the 'lillies' are not that tough, and will die off easily. In a short time the nutrients that were stored in the bulbs will be exhausted, and the plant will be dead.

if u say so ..i have had some for years

You probably have few fish that will eat the plants. When they are repetitively eaten the bulbs will become exhausted. If they are left alone they will be fine.
