Ok, so I came home today and noticed my Texas Cichlid has a swollen eye.I am sure people are going to say grab medication, but I won't get paid until tomorrow to pick up medication or aquarium salt honestly. Is there anything I can do at the moment to help out with this swollen eye?

Also I like to mention, a 50% water change was done on Sunday.I like to do small water changes at least once a week, then do a bigger % water change on Sundays.

Isolate the fish and then turn the heat up.

Clove oil? Seriously? That's a anesthetic used to sedate and euthanize fish :jaw-dropp You might as well suggest shooting it in the head lol

You don't need to do anything. Just keep it in a stress free environment and try to post a clear picture that can help diagnose whatever it has. Turn the lights off, check your water parameters, etc. Adding the wrong medication without knowing what is wrong in the first place will do more harm than good.

That is why I'm hesitent with meds. I will need to put the divider back up in the 125 gallon then. The lights are off in my tank, so luckily no one moves around in the tank that much. I did a 20% water change last night and today I am getting salt. Also I bumped the temp up to 80 degrees.

That's a common ailment with Cichlids. It could be as simple as stress from shipping. It usually goes away on its own. Water is paramount with them fish. Make sure ph is up over 7 and add some kosher salt from time to time. One tea spoon per 10 gallons. Good luck Monsta.

PH is always at 7.5, but I am not too sure what happened, if the others were never effected by this.Currently I have the Texas in a 10 gallon set up,added salt, put in Mardel Maracyn Plus, and to hope this pop eye will go away..
