Apple snail advise please .

You want plaster with no additives. The daps brand has been safe. SOmetimes there are impurities in the plaster which are not listed on the label. Go with a name brand.

On a few of my golden apple snail's they have crack's that don't seem to be getting better .I have made my own snail jello (thank's to the recipes on AC) with veg medley baby food & crushed cuttle fish ,i have added some crushed coral & a calcium block to the tank ,it has 2 ocean rock's & 1 mopani bogwood in .
Is this enough for my snail's to heel ?
Would it help to remove the wood ?
I have 2 khuli's & 2 Bamboo shrimp's in with them ,i have read Bamboo's max PH is 7.8 & Kuhli max PH 7.5 . I just worry i'm going to damage them with the calcium .

I have been feeding them broccoli , cabbage & cucumber aswell . Is there any particular veg that will help with the cracked shell's or just a range of the recomended veg ?

You'll want collards, seaweeds and dill greens which are all high in calcium content. I'd keep the damaged snail isolated. What is the temperature right now? Lower it to 70-72 degrees Fahrenheit to slow down its growth and feed it calcium enriched foods. While this slows down its growth, it will also thicken the shell growth. Any more pics of the snail in question?

This is the worst damaged snail . I moved them into this box today have put a tub of crushed coral & they are eating snail jello with crushed cuttle fish in it , made another jello today with cuttle fish & brocolli in will try some tonight. Will test the water tonight aswell .Only got a pump in tank no filter so i'm thinking i should change 20-30% every other day untill i get a filter in there .I will drop a calcium block in when i have checked PH .
Is there anything else i can do for my little guy's ?

That is a fissure, its genetic. I would recommend lowering your temperature and continuing the great diet you have implemented. In time, it should heal from the inside and just be cosmetic. i would recommend a temp around 72-74 ideally for healing.

Thank's , hopefully the next snail pic's i post they will all be in good health . Im getting into experimenting with the jello recipes , best buy a couple more ice cube tray's i think .
