apple snail breeding?

i bought a 15$ apple snail from the best lfs around in indianapolis, i liked it cuz it had algae growing on it and seemed ancient plus its the only other tankmate i can keep w/ my 5 rbp. how do i stop this? its popped out atleast 10 babies in 2 days! bad for my fish? unhealthy for water?

any advice? i thought snails had to have a pair to spawn?

I have no idea about breeding snail but I tried a few months back to buy a few apple snails and was told that they were banned because they were on the invasive species list. Maybe just here local but not sure, you might wanna check just to be safe.

Im not trying to breed! I bought this one and its having baby snails at an alarming rate. Its the only one in the tank!
