any tips for what to feed to keep their shells nice and strong, ive been feeding tablet sinking, cucumber, zucchini and spinnach but ive noticed that there is a little line of shell thinning from last month. any ideas what could be going on?

also, i bake the spinach puree onto a rock before putting it into the tank, would it be safe to crush a (human) calcium supplement and mix it in before baking?

muchos grassyass in advance...

The line may simply be growth line indicating the snail gained another growth due to different environmental conditions. Any photos of that? What are your pH, KH and GH? As long as your water is hard and alkaline consistently, you do not need to use calcium supplements and simply focus on calcium enriched foods although calcium supplements help a lot to thicken the shell. Try getting the Dap brand of plaster of Paris and make some calcium blocks. They last longer than the calcium supplements and an inch block could stay for 2-3 weeks.

What is your tank temperature? If its too warm (over mid 70's) they will grow quickly and the new growth will be thin. DAPs plaster is found at home depot, but before doing that, what is your pH and hardness? Water being too soft is usually evidenced by pitting or whitening of the whorl first, new growth being thin is usually temperature/diet related though it sounds like you are feeding them appropriately.
