I would like your opinion on which to put, if not both, on my 75g aquarium with juvenile gold saums, silver dollars, and a 6"(max size) pleco.

Will they be safe from the fish?

Any pros and cons?

Thank you!

I voted Zebra... since Apple snails eat plants and get pretty darn big... Zebra snails MAY leave your tank if its an open top system with no much food for it available... but at least any plants and stuff like that will be safe...

I appreciate the advice, would your vote change if I had no plants?

If you didn't have plants, then i would say its up to you which snail you prefer... personally speaking i'm not a big fan of really big snails, so i would probably still vote for the Zebra... especially since if i remember correctly... zebras are pretty hard working when it comes to cleaning algae... where as Apple Snails tend to eat a lot less algae when they grow bigger?

Although the last part about the apple snails could be wrong, since thats just what i sort of remember about them...

Alright, I did read about the zebra snails and most, if not all, of the time it mentions how good they are at cleaning.

On the other hand, the apple snails are mostly discussed in general involving the environment rather than it being in aquariums. Even though they do get big and beautiful, I might get squeamish when I have to move/touch them, maybe.

So I will be getting a bunch of Zebra snails then. :) Thank you so much Fat Homer!

No worries... just glad i could help out :)
