Poor guy climbs all around but if he get's loose or lets go he bobs up to the top of the tank. He was supposed to be a snack but never got eaten.

I'm wondering if there is a way I can get the air out so he'll sink instead of float. He's a trooper. Holding him inverted does nothing.

Apple snails tend to float at the surface from time to time. It's only natural for that to happen.

My friend used to have an apple snail in the past that used to climb up the side walls, then literally just let go and bob around the surface for 2-5 min, then drop back to the floor and repeat the process over and over again... we used to joke that he just liked to surf the current at the top of his tank...
