Apple Snails and red Shimp

I have found they get along well together.. but right now i have 4 snails and 10 red shrimp in a 10 ga;l (all i had at hand).. should i get a bigger thank when i get the money? Or are they ok for now..?

what kind of snail?

Always get a bigger tank when possible :)
 
Generally there isn't much problem, so long as there is enough calcium in the water, and you feed enough food.
 
ok..the next question is how do you make sure that there is calcium in the water? is there a fancy concoction that should be added to the tank water? will Tums work, i've heard rumors about this, but never seen any factual info.
 
Three easy methods. One 7 day feeders (easiests, and most available), next seachem reef calcium, and finally antlers. I use the API calcium test kit in tanks with large snail populations.
