Would offering a peice of apple or orange be okay for my pleco?
I read the pleco dietary thread but it didn't mention either one. I gave him cucumber before and he really liked it. But I don't have any cucumbers right now.

If you try it only do it for a short period of time. Not sure about the apple but I would think that the orange might change your water chemistry. I would just put the peel in and not the actual pulp.

Just my .02

apples you can, but I don't think it goes down to well... so I've heard, I haven't tried it myself. Oranges I wouldn't. Cucumber is ok, but is mostly water and there are more nutritious things out there.

lol thanks guys. I'll just wait to get some cucumbers and zuchini for him them. For now I'll stick with algae wafers and seaweed. I didn't see apples in te dietary thread. Unless it was in one of the replies. I saw breadfruit...but I have no idea what that is lol.
