applying backgroud on 90 gallon tank

What is the best way to apply a background to my 90 gallon tank

Vinyl roll type. I usually tape it on but it never looks good.

Use the sealent they sell at the LFS, wipe a light layer on and stick it on there using a credit card or paint scraper.

I was told I could use vegtable oil or vasseline.

Just like window tint, spray tank with water and apply background with a squeegee. Make sure background is cut to size, or slightly smaller

I cut it to size spread baby oil on the whole thing and pressed it onto the glass using a 5 inch putty knife

I used Vaseline to do a 20 gallon tank. Worked beautifully and doesn't smell or anything.
