Just kidding. But now that I got you here you can see my panda corys lol. Definitely not what most folks come to monsterfishkeepers for but these are some of the most entertaining fish I've had. We got a groups of 6 about a year ago and have raised and sold a few hundred by now (not an easy task in a decorated/scaped tank) and have the group we keep up to 9. From what I can tell I think we have 3 females and 6 males. My wife and I have been in love with these from day one and we're thinking about picking up one of the newer strains that have come about in the past little bit. Possibly the gold lasers or black Venezuela cory. We both really like the big hognose and the little pygmy as well. Just looking for ideas. Suggestions on what you'd go for if you were to buy corys now would be appreciated.

If you have corydoras yourself I'd love to see them and how you keep them.

Fyi: my wife added that blue gravel and it drives me crazy everything I see it! The fish don't seem to mind and it's usually covered in leaf liter when we have it.

I keep a small group of corydoras sterbai in a densely planted tank with a thick monte carlo substrate. I would rather keep shoals of corys and schools of tetras than any monster fish any day....

Don't get me wrong, I love small fish in general and Corydoras in particular...but that thread title...:)

I have a small group of C.paleatus (a sentimental favourite, one of the first "tropical" fish I ever kept, although I value them now for their hardiness in cool water) in one of my tanks, and a quartet of "Bearded Corydoras" (currently designated as Scleromystax barbatus) in another. No community of small assorted fish is complete, IMHO, without a school of Corys snuffling about on the bottom. And I want to try those sterbai!

Absolutely love the barbatus. I've been straying to other small cats for bottom dwelling instead of corys also. The shadow cats work for bottom cleaners great in groups. And they're cool looking fish also

Month carlo is my favorite for carpet. I actually had a group of sterbai with my flowerhorn for about a month before moving them to the community tank they're in now. I can tell the flowerhorn really misses then actually. He's got a female african peacock and a melanura in with him now. Most docile flowerhorn I've ever seen

Love Cory’s. I have some false Julii in my 10 gallon and peppered in my 20 gallon.

Nice tank! But the blue gravel kinda ruins the more natural vibe ?
