APPROX. AGE OF MY PBASS

I HAVE A PEACOCK BASS WHOS ABOUT 6 1/2 7 INCHES ... I GOT HIM IN JUNE AND SOME ONE ASKED ME HOW OLD HE IS I HAVEEEE NO IDEAA ANY ONE HAVE ANY IMPUT ON A FISHES AGE

I doubt anyone could acurately gauge your pbass's age. There are many factors that can effect the fishes growth like diet, water quality dominance, tank size, tankmates etc.

yeh kinda hard to predict age.. How big was he when you go him in June?

it is impossible to tell.. i saw a old cichla of mine (farm mono) that someone brought back to a lfs.. i owned this fish about 4 years ago and if i didnt know that info then i wouldnt have been able to tell.. if you feed your cichla and do lots of water change giving him the nromal growth rate and he is not stunted then a 6 inch cichla i would say is about 6 months or so old, but that all changes once they hit 12 inches.

lol is predictable i would say up up till 11 or 12 inches but this is only if they are growing an inch a month
