April fools' ...had anyone bothered to check the name of the pic :headbang2 ...oh well, at least I caught two good ones.

I have only emperors for now, but that Azul is really 70cm wild caught, a hobbyist in Brazil caught and kept it for his aquarium. Seeing that convinced me that I have to go down and "study" some Cichla variants.

My favorite Azul, makes my 10'x4'x3' look like a guppy tank. He's almost 30".
You have pbass!?!?!? lol. Never knew that. That's one badass azul and collection.
No collection really, I have more emperors than cichlas. I only got 2 more Temensis ~14", but had to separate them. I thought they'd be OK with the big guy but overnight he gulped down one of the Tems. :irked:

Looking forward to more though, after I finish school, a few projects I have in mind.

copy that.

And a 30" AZUL ... :WHOA: this must be one of the biggest here at MFK. Easily can be anyone's favor.

Here's the culprit again

A Brazilian hobbyist, I'm lurking on Brazilian forums as well, as I can read pretty much everything (fluent in Spanish, Italian and French ...so Portuguese is just a matter of time until I learn how to write as well :D). It was on one of these Brazilian forums that I found this guy, he caught the Cichla and put it in his tank ...and then, as I've been had twice for April 1st, well, you got the story :D

and at the moment I have a pair of Boulengerochromis Microlepis in there (wild caught I've been told) and a colony of Kitumba frontosas (22 adult wild caughts, 6 males and 16 females).

Although i'd feel guilt about taking such a big fish from the wild and putting it into a tank no matter what size
I agree,I saw a humongus bumble bee grouper in a store once, the thing must have weighed close to fifty pounds. It seemed a shame to put it through the stress of capture and transport.
