Aqua Clear 1200 Power Filter

I had a power failure and My Aqua Clear ran dry for @ 8 hours before I could re-start it...does anybody know if that would affect the beneficial bacteria in the Bio-Media?

It could, but if the aquarium is established there should be BB on everything, substrate deco ETC. Worst case scenario youll see a mini cycle, keep an eye on the parameters.

Happens to me all the time. My catfish likes to knock the siphon tupe on the Penguin 350 thats near his nook turning it off until I notice to get my attention, but most of my biomedia is in the other penguin and my cannister.
