i have always used and currently use aqua clear HOB filters and i recommend them. so im sure their wet dry would be good. you should always quarantine a new fish you plan on adding to your main tank. i dont know if it would be too late or maybe there is a possibility he didnt contaminate the water yet. get a little 10 gallon tank for a quarantine tank and keep the fish in there for a few weeks while you keep and eye and make sure nothing is showing up

looks like you already have a HOB AQ 30 or so on your tank so you probably know about them. i didnt notice until after i posted you had that filter on there

Always QT new tank arrivals so you can prevent ich but I would take the damsel out and qt him and I use aquaclears on some of my tanks and love them.

Hey thanks mr reef. from now on i will qt new tank arrivals but i fear that the ich damage has already begun my clownfish are showing signs of ich. So I researched for at least an hour on the hyposalinity method and started it on the tank.

I also have a question this morning i found 2 small worms in the tank. Are these worms a danger to the tank??

what did the worms look like if you take the clownfish out of the tank and put in QT and there are no other fish in the system the cysts of the ich will die off in the tank. If you treat in your hospital you can do hyposalinity but it either works or kills the fish you can try freshwater dips, or a good medication with copper but never use copper were you have live rock, inverts, or corals just in hospital tank with the fish and remove any live rock and never add back until you have a copper test kit that shows no copper is left.

The worm looked like a nightcrawler but white, smaller and fuzzy looking. What is this worm. 1 of the clowns died and the other one is making a slow but good recovery.

I have another question when you say quarantine new fish before introducing them to the main tank, how would i take the steps to do that?? how many days?? when are they ready to go into the main tank?

What I mean by Quarantine of new fish, corals, inverts, live rock, etc... is have a tank with nothing but a heater, sponge filter, some PVC pipe for hiding and a basic light. This way you can monitor new arrivals for disease, eating problems, parasites, etc... I usually QT for a month or more depending on what it is corals get QT for 6 months, inverts 1 month, fish 2 months or more, live rock 30 days. The worm try looking at this link and see if you can spot the worm for me to help you identify better;
