Evening all,

I have recently purchased a Fluval Roma 200 litre aquarium, and I was supplied with 1x Power Glow, and 1x Aqua Glow tubes for the lighting. I was told in the shop that I should have the power glow at the back, and the aqua glow at the front......

Bit of a weird question I know, but has anyone else used these before? Does it matter what combination they are in? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers guys :)

try it both ways and see which you like.

Looks like both are 18,000k

Hagen says the power glo Promotes coral, invertebrate and plant growth

aqua glo Intensifies fish colors and promotes plant growth

Probably the aqua glo will look best up front because that will make the fish look the best depending and the color of your fish

you probably won't notice which one is in front and which is in back, if the tubes are close together in your light fixture.

having said that, I really love the powerglo's.

but I am not a fan of the aquaglo's.

both are 18,000K, but as you will see, the colour and brightness of both bulbs are quite different.

the powerglo is more white with a bluish tint. and it is much brighter than the aquaglo's, which are more pink coloured and not nearly as bright. they are a bit dim.

try it, but you may want to consider swapping out the aquaglo for another powerglo.

I use double powerglo's on my tanks and love them.

hope this helps.

That's brilliant, cheers for the info guys :)

I am going to have Tiger Barbs (6x stripes, 6x green) along with a redtail black shark, so hopefully everything should go along fine!

Thanks again
