I have a piece of drift wood I really like but even after months of soaking it wont sink. I was thinking of glueing it to a piece of wood and cover it with sand/rocks. What would be a good glue or another strategy to pull this off?

I know you can buy drift wood like this, but wanted to try it with my own.

bump!!

You can use epoxy or even try super glue.

Nothing toxic will leak in water?

You can usally find aquarium glue at most pet stores, idk what you have in your area but I'm sure you could order it online. I did that with a big piece of drift wood in my tank too. Better to be safe using glue made for aquariums then have your fish die.

Super glue is used in a lot of salt tanks to attach corals.

They have epoxies that are designed to be used in aquariums.

Either should be fine if left until completely cured.

agreed ^^ epoxy to hold live rock together

You could also drill a hole in the slate or whatever you want to use to hold it down and use a stainless steel screw. That's usually how it's done on the pieces you buy that way.
