Aqua Medic Heater craps out..Again

Unbelivable! I just got the aquamedic 500watt Titanium heater w/controller on the 7th, and it crapped out. Now I gotta call Aquacave and see what they'll do, or do I need to contact aquamedic directly.

Its a nice set up..same as the WON bros, which is what I wanted but they were out of stock and asked if I wanted to substitute it with the aquamedic. Maybe I should have just waited.

Can't believe it, I got this to replace the Stealth that died on me, and now this. If it wasn't so f'd up, I'd be busy laughing.

Still have one heater running another stealth in the 125. Hell, I have a visitherm glass operating no problems in my 55g. Dunno, must be one those phases where sh*t happens.

check your outlets to make sure your properly grounded and install a surge suppresor with automatic voltage regulation. it may cut down on your heater losses, it has helped me .

Yeah..checked my outlets and panel...everything is properly grounded.

On the bright side, Aquamedic is going to replace the heater, and Aqua Systems is sending me a replacement for my burnt Stealth.

I might look into a voltage regulator and see if that helps.

aqua medic alot better than won bros had too many won bros crap out on me i would call the company directly and talk to them....

Yeah I called aquamedic monday and was told to send the old unit back and they will "test" it and if its defective/broken they'll send me a replacement.

So I sent it out Tuesday..hopefully within 2 weeks I'll have the replacement.
