Far far away
I finaly got my second 2080 to replace an XP3 on a 130 gallon clown loach tank. What do you think is better? To connect the output to the Aqua Medic 36w directly or to split the output. I am not overly conserned about dwell time, I want maximum flow out of the filter. Will the split hoses or the helical path thru the UV reduce the flow the most?

For maximum benefit of the UV light I highly suggest:

1W per 10 gal of volume in your system...
10 gph of flow through your UV per 1 W of UV strength...

Or a maximum of 360 gph through your 36W unit...

Eheim 2080 comes at around 320 gph full of media. So in both scenarios the dwell time is enough. The question though is which set up flows the more water?
Thanks

The Aqua medic helix max 36w allows enough water to pass thru that the flow from the Eheim 2080 stays unchanged. In case someone needs to know.

I'd just use a single outlet ... a 36w UV will not reduce flow much.
Regular cleaning of your hoses will keep a 2080 going strong.
