So I bought a new internal filter recently for a small 22 gallon long i'm setting up, which was by All Pond Solutions, 600IF. Suffice it to say that while the filter worked, its unbearably loud if its in your bedroom, so I scrapped it and opted for an Aqua Medic Power filter PF1000 instead.
Been running for a short time now and what I can say so far is that though basic in terms of internal media, its very solidly built, and is very small while still running at 1000 lph. The clincher is that its also very quiet, also bought very cheaply for 20 quid.
I don't think internal filters are that popular on here, I wouldnt rely on them myself for larger set-ups, but if you have a small to medium tank and don't want to risk flooding for instance with an external, I'd highly recommend this filter.
