I had an AquaOne Aquis CF 1200 on my old 200L/50G tank for about 2 years, it was second hand when I got it and presumably a few years old already. Very easy to use solidly built dependable filter, and extremely quiet. A friend of mine has the same model on his 315L/84G tank. It's sitting on an open stand and I've never actually noticed it making any noise at all.
My only concern with the older Aquis CF series filters is they're not especially energy efficient.

I recently purchased one of the new AquaOne Nautilus series canisters, the 1400lph model. It's now set up on my girlfriend's 315L/84G tank. A lot of the details of the design have changed but it's still a quality filter and much more energy efficient, though I was slightly disappointed by the flow rate, expecting a bit more from a claimed 1400lph pump. Very quiet and comes complete with all media.

Quality filters, simple, robust, reliable, and quite cheap.
