Aqua quartz grade 20 pool sand

I can't find Estes ultra reef ceramic coated sand locally, and pricing for it online shipped is outrageous for 50-100lbs. Have any of you used Aqua Quartz grade 20 pool sand in your setups? Is it just silica sand? I'd much rather use ceramic coated sand like Estes ultra reef, but the pool sand is about an eigth the price. Is Aqua Quartz inert?

It's in my 180, and I'm fairly sure in a lot of other members tanks. My fish seem to like it better than the black Tahiti sand in the last tank.

Just found Estes ultra reef online for $7.60/5lb bag shipped, so I bought 60lbs. Hopefully enough for thin/partial bottom coverage in my 180.

That's 100 lbs of aqua Quartz PFS it's about an inch depth give or take in a 180

Awesome! 60lbs should be just right to barely cover the surface then.
