Hi, my uv sterilizer just went out. The quartz sleeve was cracked. This lead me to buying a used Aqua sterilizer (as well as a cheapo aquatop il10uv to hold me over until the Aqua is ready to go). Supposedly from the listing it is an advantage 2000 with wiper, although I cannot find the product on aqua's webpage. If it is a different series no big deal I just want the wiper.
Anyway my question is this has anyone found a good reliable source for bulbs for these units? I would prefer not to pay the 50+ dollars a year for the Aqua brand bulbs. I do however want a true low pressure hot cathode uv bulb as this will be installed inline with my eheim 2260, which is at the upper limits of flow for this unit to achieve level 1 sterilization.
The aquatop will go inline with my 2236 until the ballast blows, which in my experiences with this unit I have 6-8 months.
