Anyone who has seen my current tank setups knows that I have some serious tank-swapping and re-homing to do.

Tuesday night, I made things worse. I took my Ambien and then went on Aquabid. OOPS!

I don't remember any of this, but I apparently bought over 100 fish and bid on two other auctions. I won one of the two auctions today.

The good news is it's mostly livebearers-excellent live food providers.

The bad news is I'm currently having to set up two more tanks and swap some stock around to accommodate the new arrivals coming next week. I hope I end up with some awesome strains. Otherwise, I bought a bunch of feeders, which I already have. That's what my cons are for.

The "smack myself" news is that the two 55g's I'm setting up won't fit in the original area I had planned, so I took down four tanks tonight, moved them, and now have to set them back up. My daughter and I are the only ones in the house so taking down tanks is the only way we can move them. We're strong, but we're not strong enough to move tanks filled more than 1/4 way.

My brother has found information somewhere that Ambien affects a lot of people this way. Two other family members have bought stuff online after taking Ambien that they didn't know they ordered. At least Aquabid gives you an e-mail so you can pay for the auctions. It would've been really bad if the fish would've arrived and I wasn't expecting them.

I hope this didn't totally bore anyone. I had to share!

fail... that's crazy, i hope you get it all worked out i read you posting this on a different thread earlier lol

Aquabid should put up a banner ad for Ambien!

This is your fish room, and this is your fish room on Ambien! :D

Oops:duh:

Thanks for pointing that out. I'd forgotten that I put it in that thread. We need an "embarassed" smiley. I'm having way too many "parental moments" lately.

Around $150 including shipping. I did do really well on one thing, though.

I got some ruby green haps-Haplochromis sp. "Ruby Green". I've wanted them for awhile, but told myself "no" due to our hours being cut at my job. Ambien hooked me up on that particular auction:headbang2. I can totally claim zero responsibility for that buy (at least with the family).

The last time I told myself "no" was on a jaguar catfish. It only took me two weeks to cave and buy him. He's now one of our favorite fish.

wow price wise that isnt bad at all, and at least u got the fish you really wanted haha

And I didn't "double-bid" either:ROFL: (corny reference to double-post)

I am amused big time by this. I have a pair of black moscow guppies. I have fry from these guppies that I'm raising...I bought full black guppies on that fateful Ambien-Aquabid night:confused: So those are two strains that are very similar, but I'll be keeping them separate so I can sell their fry. (I have a "pure strain" OCD thing going on.) They look so much alike, I'm trying to figure out what I was thinking.
