I've used Aquabid a few times with good results. However, it completely depends on the seller your dealing with. Before bidding or buying on anything look at the sellers reviews and make sure they are reputable. If you have any questions regarding the fish for sale, I'd contact the seller and ask any questions you may have...

i bought a betta from thailand and from the time i paid for it it took about 2 weeks to get my fish and it was similar to pic, just highly stressed (you probably would be too after that journey) but i am very pleased with the end result. but like stated all depends of what you are buying and from who. many people selling there are also members here.

I've had good results in about 10 purchases over the years. I was a little wary of the Thai breeders when I was looking for some plakats, but all of the fish arrived alive within 2-3 weeks. I dont have too wide of a fishkeeper network, so Aquabid is the only place I've been able to get wild caughts and rare/unusual fish.

Some dealers use stock pictures. But I've found they are pretty close usually. But check there ratings, And feed back.
I live in SW Georgia, So this time of year, I have them marked to hold at Post Office or UPS for pick up. And have my
phone# on the box. This works good for me.
