been gone from the forum for a long while and got into salt during that time... good to be back into fish keeping again, and man does the fish fever come back stronger every time.

so basically im just looking for some other ppls view on skimmers before i make my pricey choice.

a few things to think about:

-its a 20 gallon long so its not very tall
-need to be a hob style skimmer (for lack of space already and no sump)
-the taam rio and skilters are out (read nothing but bad things on these)

also read that there is a surface skimmer box that hides the pump, will this work with the nano and will it be big and take up a lot of space? if not a surface skimmer would be awsome!

also read hob skimmers will lose suction easily, is this true of all hob skimmers or just the cheaper kinds?

any other input on things to consider would be helpful and greatly appreciated.

THANKS in advance, Brandon.

aqua c is a great skimmer the overflow box works like a charm just make sure when you install the skimmer to make sure its level and you should be good and monitor your water level as well.

I have a AquaC Remora Pro skimmer, older model. It works good. The one complaint is with the surface skimmer box. Like mr reef24 said, you will have to monitor the tank water level closely. Not sure of the size of the Remora nano skimmer, but do get the skimmer box if you can.
Does your tank have an open top?

yea its an open top but i wont have any issues with water levels getting to low because i top it off daily to keep salinity as level as possible because i dont have a ton of water to spare. my only worry now is vacations or other trips that ill be gone on for more than a day... would it be worth it to take it off for that?

I'd say yes.
