I'm curious at how many others run this double sponge set up?

IM keeping an eye out to get a filter for pure mechanical filtration only. I was leaning towards a canister but I heard these are fantastic as well. I have a large sump 1600gph pump for my bio. My water here is hard so I always have pieces of gunk floating around that comes off my plastic sump & return lines. UNsightly.

The double sponge 110 is a great mechanical filter, plus it doubles as a biological filter, until you clean it, then it ramps up again.

I use double sponges in my 110. Never had the problem of them coming up and knocking off the lid like the video talks about.
